Which obligations apply to your business, and when?
Six questions, no account. You get one page listing every obligation that applies to you: its date, the authority, the official link, and the one document it needs.
Runs in your browser. Nothing you answer leaves this page — unless you ask for reminders at the end, and that stores your email only.
Six questions. One page.
Legal form, VAT, revenue band, online sales, employees, customer data. Each answer only adds or removes rows; nothing is stored unless you ask for reminders at the end.

Questions
Questions this tool gets asked
- Is this legal advice?
- No. It is a list of obligations with their primary sources, each dated with the day the source page was read. Your accountant or lawyer decides the edge cases; this tells you what to ask them about. Rows the sources would not confirm are marked “check the source”.
- Can I open an online store without a commercial register?
- You need a commercial register or a freelance work document. The E-Commerce Law applies to any sale concluded online, and store authentication on business.sa (the platform that replaced Maroof) accepts either document, plus a commercial bank account. A freelance document is the usual route for one person selling alone.
- What are the conditions for authenticating an online store?
- Three, per the Ministry of Commerce: a commercial register or a valid freelance work document, a commercial bank account linked to the store, and the store itself. Authentication is done on business.sa; Maroof no longer issues it.
- When is the VAT return due?
- The last day of the month after the period ends. Businesses with annual supplies of SAR 40 million or less file quarterly (January to March is due by 30 April, and so on); above that, monthly. The map shows your next due date and counts the days.
- What is the deadline for uploading the wage-protection file?
- Within 30 days of the wage due date, on the Mudad platform. The Ministry of Human Resources cut the window from 60 days to 30 on 1 March 2025. A late or mismatched file shows on your establishment file in Qiwa.
- What happens to my email if I turn on reminders?
- It is stored in a database in Jeddah with your answers, used only to send two reminders before each date, and deleted the moment you unsubscribe from any message or after 24 months. Nothing else on this page leaves your browser.
This is a list of obligations with their primary sources, dated. It is not legal or tax advice: your accountant or lawyer decides the edge cases, and the map tells you what to ask them about. Every row links to the regulation or announcement it was read from.
